Adelaide rail lines to shut as excavation work begins on Torrens Rail Junction underpass

. . . The State Government said the Outer Harbor and Grange lines, and about a third of the Gawler line, will be out of action for up to 10 weeks because of the Torrens Rail Junction project.
From 24-Sep-2017 until 3-Dec-2017, Outer Harbor and Grange passengers will be forced to use substitute buses.
On the Gawler line, substitute buses will operate between the city and Mawson Lakes from 1-Oct-2017 until 16-Oct-2017.
The closures are to allow for the removal of three level crossings in Bowden -- on Park Terrace, and on Gibson and East streets. . . .
The current detours for pedestrians and cyclists around the Bowden area were posted a few days ago:
Meanwhile, everything has gone quiet on the Goodwood Railway Station bridge (providing access to the station and a grade separation of the Mike Turtur Bikeway) and safety upgrades at the Leader Street level crossing which were funded under the same project. Work on the station bridge was supposed to have started in July this year for completion by the end of the year.

The Outer Harbor and Grange lines will now remain closed until 15-Jan-2018, while a further closure to the Gawler line will occur between Adelaide and Mawson Lakes from 18-Nov-2017 until 5-Dec-2017.
The project involves the removal of three level crossings at Park Terrace, Gibson Street and East Street, and the separation of the freight and passenger rail lines.
