Anyone know if it is possible to adjust braze-on front derraileur on Felt F5 2010 (or similar bike) to make it work properly with compact crankset (50-34)? http://2010.feltracing.com/Resources/ProductPhotos/Bikes/10_FELT_F5...(3).jpg

I found that it is rather common problem, and those frames which allow to adjust it properly are more like an exception. I also found that there is a kind of washer available to fit it, but it does not look really promising. http://www.amazon.com/Braze-Front-Derailleur-washer-compact/dp/B003...

Talk to Gary at star cycles he is a sponsor of this site and what he doesn't know isn't worth knowing , he has a damn good workshop to.

I've seen several complaints about this issue in internet. Probably it depends on brand. That is why I'm trying to find somebody who has a similar frame from Felt.

The 2011 F5 came with compacts and braze-on deraileur. I'll have a look when I get home to see how much scope there to move mine

I have feeling that 2010 and 2011 frames are different regarding this. But it is good to know that new one is compatible. Thanks!

You're correct, they are different frames.  The bracket on the 2011 has at least 20mm of vertical adjustment - I would think that would accommodate standard-sized chainrings.  I can't speak to the 2010 model though.
