Event Description

A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.

Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).

Starts and finishes at the Port Noarlunga Institute car park (near Becks Bakery) at the always sunny Port Noarlunga.

This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.

There will be regular stops to regroup on what will be a gently undulating track.

Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.

We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.

Meet for a rider briefing at 7.30am for a 7.45am start.

If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.

All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.

All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Good ride this morning Ladies and Gents, give me a bit of time to put the ride report video together, it takes a bit longer than writing the report, hopefully have something up later tonight.

The old track has gone but there is a new one that has been laid. Although there was mud on the track the surface is new just freshly laid bitumen.

Just head out of McLaren vale by the road head up Victor Harbour road and cross over to Martin's road and rejoin the track there?

corner of Victor Harbor Road and Martins Road adjacent to the rail trail is pretty much all earthworks, that temp bike access is GORN = avoid it as we need to find another detour

Sorry to say this but I think I'll have to come to the next one, I've just looked at my calendar and I won't be able to make it back in time for work :(
Looking forward to the next event! :) Thankyou for the encouragement!
